COUNCIL ON FEDERAL PROCUREMENT OF ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING SERVICES
CHALLENGE
To manage the day-to-day activities of a coalition of trade associations and professional societies in the architecture, engineering, and related professional services community in support of coordinated efforts to preserve, protect, defend, and promote a specific provision of Federal law, known as the "Brooks Act".
SOLUTION
MWAM monitors legislation, procurement actions, regulations, and agency policies and practices related to Federal procurement of architecture, engineering, and related professional services; keeps each member organization informed of such activities; advocates on behalf of the members' unanimously adopted policies; convenes meetings of the member organizations to facilitate coordination and communication; educate Congress and Federal agency officials; and provide continuing education for member organizations.
