GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

Our team consists of a bipartisan group of government affairs professionals with decades of experience working in public policy objectives at the local, state, and Federal levels. All team members are active in the legislative process, lobbying the White House, Congress, state legislatures, and local boards. Our team is particularly adept at working with groups of professionals who are not political and who do not like political action. In these types of situations, we develop and implement public policy initiatives that permit professionals to fully employ their talents in a manner that upholds professional integrity and ethics serving both the association’s members’ and the public’s interest.

Our lobbying team consists of registered lobbyists who have received the profession's Public Policy Certificate and adhere to the profession’s Code of Ethics. One of the features we offer to association clients is our willingness and ability to manage their outside contract lobbyists in State Capitols, which takes a burden off your board. This is an area that can be challenging for organizations not familiar with the ins and outs of the lobbying profession. We also provide our association management clients with research and facilitation of federal grant applications.

Advocacy: An association’s members are its megaphone with lawmakers. As part of an overall integrated advocacy strategy, Miller Wenhold Association Management will ensure our clients' issues remain front and center with lawmakers throughout the year. This includes executing grassroots mail, email, and social media campaigns on your behalf, as well as regularly disseminating materials, policy papers, and research to lawmakers and regulators. Successful advocacy requires year-round engagement, and MWAM delivers for our clients from January through December every year!
