KELLY AMEEN

President of Association Management

kameen@millerwenhold.com

Kelly brings nearly 20 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations and professional associations. A detail-oriented and strategic leader, she is known for her strong program management skills and commitment to driving measurable results. She earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2012 and has maintained it actively ever since.

Since becoming Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors (PSLS), Kelly has played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s financial health—growing their cash on hand by 65% through the introduction of new revenue streams, increased event income, and reduced overall expenses. Under her leadership, the organization has consistently exceeded budget expectations and remained profitable every year since MWAM took over management.

Kelly has led remarkable improvements in event performance, including a 45% increase in average conference revenue over the past four years compared to the four years prior to the pandemic, when the organization was managed by another firm. She also spearheaded a 150% increase in webinar revenue by launching recorded webinar sales and biannual virtual seminars. Kelly is always looking for innovative, member-focused strategies to help associations grow and thrive.

Prior to joining MWAM, Kelly served as the Community Solutions Director at the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), where she led national volunteer firefighter programs and wildland fire initiatives. She acted as staff liaison to the Volunteer and Combination Officers Section’s Board of Directors and worked closely with fire service organizations across federal, state, and local levels. During her time at IAFC, she also presented at several national fire service conferences.

Kelly’s expertise includes board/committee management, budget management, strategic planning, event and meeting planning, marketing and communications, resource development, and team leadership.

She is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and enjoys returning to Charlottesville whenever she can.

Deeply committed to community service, Kelly is actively involved with Langley Residential Support Services (LRSS), a nonprofit that supports individuals with developmental disabilities. She also coaches Special Olympics basketball, with her teams regularly qualifying for the state tournament.

Kelly is married to Jeff and together they have a Brussels Griffon dog named Juke.

"John, Khea, Kevynne, Dani, Nicole, and Kelly did a fantastic job with the conference last week. Kelly, in particular, had everything prepared and organized.  With her leadership, the conference went off without a hitch. She is a rock star. As the society President this year, I look forward to working with Kelly to prepare for the next conference."

"Some people are just born leaders – that is Kelly!"

"I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that Team Miller Wenhold again excelled in the preparation and operation of the annual conference.  The expert level of service provided by the Team, both onsite and back at the office, was evident and the conference appeared to run like a very well-oiled and smoothly polished machine. A job very well done by everyone involved!"
